mistressree007, it gets better. My pull ups is still ever so slowly improving and I've been doing this for two years now. Do you use a chair to assist you? One thing you can do is use the chair for the upward portion and try lowering yourself without help on the down portion. These are called "negative" resistance reps and also help to strengthen you for the positive resistance (eccentric and concentric) reps later on. We have guys and gals in there and one of our gals is starting to get good at pull ups using a little known method called "greasing the groove", which I've introduced to her. Google it and you'll discover a brilliant Russian trainer named Pavel who explains what it means and how it helps you to double and triple your pull up count in record time.

So today I was feeling like doing something crazy. Here's what I put together. Little to no rest between sets:

135 lb deadlift x 50
135 lb floor wipers x 50 (25 each side; heels to floor, toes to plates alternately)
53 lb kb swing x 50
50 lb weighted sit ups x 50
50 pull ups

By the time I hit the pull ups, my arms were toast and my forearms were as pumped as they ever could be, blood saturating muscle tissue. The hardest thing to get through was the pull ups; they're still my weakness. Had to do them in smaller sets. Everything else, particularly the deads and swings were pretty easy. The floor wipers taxed my arms more than my abs. I'm loving the endorphin high right now.

Correct, however, Power 90 is not the same as P90X, which is a whole new program and much more advanced, hence the "X" (Extreme). Both programs are from Beachbody.

Today's rest day for me. Gonna hit it hard again tomorrow. Gearing up to be ripped come September when I turn 40!
