Sorry for the smaller pics, I copied it over from my blog so I wouldn't have to type it again
Last week I went into the theater my brother works at to show them pictures of the Thor costume I am wearing to the premier for them. One of his managers asked me if I was going to have the helmet. At the time I said no because with less then a month to go, I didn't think I could do it. When I was home though I started to think about it. Why couldn't I have the helmet? So I started working on it. I thought it would take a long time to make it but what I have so far took surprisingly little time to do. So far I have spent about four hours on it. I started by cutting and shaping three plates of 16 gauge steel. The method I am using for this is a traditional armor technique for helmets except that they would have used rivets where I am using a MIG Welder.
