I am pleased to finally offer electrostatically flocked parachute silk capes sewn in the 100% accurate Christian Bale walking cape pattern from both movies.
Unbelievably lightweight and made to the exact specifications of the screen fabric. Just like they invented a new fabric for the movies I have reproduced it
with beautiful results.
They are being sewn to the EXACT specifications of Christian Bale's walking cape. So they will be the same size as well. I cannot accommodate special sizing. But they should be easy enough to hem if you so choose.
This is a run and I am not sewing them one off. So what that means is I need to get all of the orders in and then the run starts. I will collect payments for about the next 6 weeks. Because of the complexity of this project I am aiming for a mid-September delivery to you guys.
This is my 3rd run of a Batman related product and they have all gone off successfully. Admittedly I am more well known at the Brotherhood of the Bat than here but I can get many members to vouch for me, my reliability, and my success with reproducing high end Batman items.
I know I said in the past that I am working on a v3 but I have decided to skip that step in order to be able and get these in your hands faster. The first one made off the production line will be the v3 and you will all see pics of it before the rest are made.
Now onto some pics...
This is the v2 version of the cape. If the v1 was 25% of where I want it to be, I would consider this v2 to be 50% there. Difference between the 2 is only the weight of the nylon with the v2 being less than half as heavy. And the v1 is pretty darn light!
With that being said - it is pretty hard to get pics that show the difference in weight. But I took some pics anyway. Keep in mind that I am not moving the cape around for each shot. Just letting the wind take it.
Thought maybe some video would show the lightweight qualities. We had a good breeze here but I'm not sure this really shows you much.

Changes that will be made for production are:
-matte nylon
-softer nylon (or "laundered")
-screen accurate pattern
The price is $450 plus shipping which includes the cast off screen originals Batman Begins cape clips. I assure you this is a fraction of what the screen capes cost for the same end result.
And this is the first time that truly screen accurate cape clips have been offered. (Sorry, I will not offer them separately.)
Shipping will be $20 within North America and $40 overseas. I can ship up to 2 capes for that cost.
I cannot guarantee I will have extras from the run. If I do they will be very limited. So it is best to pre-order now. And a 2nd run is highly unlikely. Much like any other run I have done it has been a one time only deal.
